I have many hats and many hobbies.
Yes I keep very busy.
Yes I stretch myself too thin sometimes.
Who cares? I am having fun doing as many things as I can in this lifetime.
Isn't that what life is for?
This blog reflects on my lifestyle and philosophies, rants and raves, and
hopefully a bit of humor.
I chose this background because it is so artistic, comfortable, and shows both sides of the day. Just like our everyday lives.

One of the things that is very important in our blogosphere is networking. And the way we do that is through hyperlinks, communities, and reciprocal links.
We all have wonderful free software to work with in creating our blogs, such as Wordpress, TypePad, Blogger, etc. Unfortunately, some of the easiest aspects of working with these programs can cause little problems that lead to difficulty in searching through our site, or linking to others.
Always remember to include the http:// before your domain name (i.e. http://www.mysite.com) Unless otherwise noted, or the box where you enter the URL shows the http:// already, it’s an important step in completing the link. If you miss this step, the link can come out looking like this: http://www.yoursite.com/www.theirsite.com and it becomes a dead link. Granted, I know there are a lot of you that can figure out what the link is supposed to be and get to the site, but there are others who don’t.
Just thought I would mention that since I have come across sites where this has happened (I have done it too!).

Gaming is no different. In fact it can be worse! You are using many more muscles, hand, and joint movements when playing a video game, either on the computer or with that fancy XBox.
It’s important to exercise and stretch before any activity, let alone computer or gaming. Gaming can lead to other problems (originally posted on Yahoo!)
Constant stress on tendons, nerves and ligaments in children’s hands and arms can cause long-term problems such as tendonitis, bursitis and carpal tunnel syndrome, according to Cindy Miles, owner of a pediatrics physical therapy practice in Whitehall, Pa. Read the rest of this entry »

It has always fascinated me how different we are when it comes to language, fashion, simply gestures we all use on a daily basis.
For instance, in America, the “peace” sign is made with the first two fingers up and spread with the third, fourth, and thumb closed and the palm facing away from you. Turn the hand towards you so the palm is facing you, and it is the same as giving “the finger” to someone in Great Britain!
We use our hands more than we realize when speaking to each other or showing emotion. Body language and interaction between various people in our lives is as important as saying the words themselves. Read the rest of this entry »
