One of the things that is very important in our blogosphere is networking. And the way we do that is through hyperlinks, communities, and reciprocal links.
We all have wonderful free software to work with in creating our blogs, such as Wordpress, TypePad, Blogger, etc. Unfortunately, some of the easiest aspects of working with these programs can cause little problems that lead to difficulty in searching through our site, or linking to others.
Always remember to include the http:// before your domain name (i.e. http://www.mysite.com) Unless otherwise noted, or the box where you enter the URL shows the http:// already, it’s an important step in completing the link. If you miss this step, the link can come out looking like this: http://www.yoursite.com/www.theirsite.com and it becomes a dead link. Granted, I know there are a lot of you that can figure out what the link is supposed to be and get to the site, but there are others who don’t.
Just thought I would mention that since I have come across sites where this has happened (I have done it too!).
