No More Spam for Scotland!
Apparantly, England and Scotland don’t take kindly to their e-mail inboxes flooded with spam, and they are doing something about it…taking them to court, and winning!
The 30-year-old Web marketing specialist Dick Gordon, from Edinburgh sued the sender, Transcom Internet Services Ltd., in small-claims court. The court ordered the company to pay $1,445 in damages and $1,190 in court costs.
This rocks! I hope that this country takes as much time and effort to allow us to do the same to spammers.
I get anywhere from 10 to 60 spam e-mails a day - and that’s low compared to another e-mail where I had hundreds a day! I had to shut that one off because it wasn’t worth having anymore!
There is the annoyance factor than there is the ethical factor at work here. I mean come on…how many times do we need to see “big dicks” and “wet teens” in our e-mail boxes, especially when a lot of people have kids in the house! Just imagine how some of those younger family members, who also have e-mail, feel when the get this crap??
I know a lot of these spammers are from odd parts of the globe, but it’s gotta stop!

Yep. That’s why I love my SPAMArrest. I watch the little meter on there and 90% of my email is SPAM. Sad, isn’t it?
