I have many hats and many hobbies.

Yes I keep very busy.

Yes I stretch myself too thin sometimes.

Who cares? I am having fun doing as many things as I can in this lifetime. Isn't that what life is for?
This blog reflects on my lifestyle and philosophies, rants and raves, and hopefully a bit of humor.

I chose this background because it is so artistic, comfortable, and shows both sides of the day. Just like our everyday lives.

Speaking of iPods

Technology No Comments »

Who out there owns an iPod? I have never seen the need to own one - until I won an iPod (already out of date) in a raffle. Then, I started to use it and download music. Woah.

Ok, so I love music, and why didn’t I get one before? Partially because they are so freakin’ expensive! But also, I never really listened to music at work before. Since my last two jobs allowed headphones while we worked, I took advantage of it. And now I am hooked. I wish all jobs allowed people to listen to music while working. It makes the time go by faster and it helps me to focus and get my work done in a timely manner.

Plus it helps to shut out all the office noise and gossip…and the boss.

Next on the list is these iPods that actually store full length movies - lots of them. But again…expensive! I suppose one day I will have a use for that. But for now, I am quite content with my little iPod that just plays music and Podcasts.

How about you? Can’t live without your iPod? Gotta have the latest gadgets?

ELO

This is going to be a test…a test to see who remembers The Electric Light Orchestra! Oh…and to see if us old people are out there…yep…I am dating some of you!

I recently found a couple of CD’s of ELO to put on my iPod and it really brings back memories! They have been my favorite band for many, many years, even some of their new stuff (even without Jeff Lynne) and I never get tired of listening to them.

It’s amazing how music can really put you into a place in time. I remember places I was going, what I was feeling, or doing at various times when I listen to that music. To me, it’s a style that will never die. I have talked to a lot of people, even young people, who dig the ELO. That’s pretty cool. My one regret is I never got the chance to see them in concert.

The weird part is…I am burning songs onto a technological piece of equipment from the 21st century…that was once listened to on vinyl records. ACK!

Lazy Day

Topics and Blah Blah 3 Comments »

Anyone ever have those days on the weekend where you don’t feel like doing a damn thing? That was today!

I had all these plans to do various activities and errands and instead…I flopped in front of the television and vegged.

Actually, I was able to get a few things done - but it was nothing compared to the original set of things to be accomplished. It was a rather large list.

Do I feel guilty? Nah! But I do tend to kick myself in the arse laterĀ and realize that I will have to do it tomorrow…or the next day. Sometimes it is just nice not to have to be anywhere or do anything. Just be mindless and forget the past week. Or the upcoming Monday.

What’s your favorite brainless activity? Anyone else feel like a lump this weekend?
