According to the research done on the Mayan calendar, it is supposed to end as of 2012. Many people believe this will be the end of the world as we know it.
Many cultures have an end of the world myth. It varies from culture to culture and religion to religion. Some say that the original calculations are off, and that the Mayan calendar actually ends this year. Ack!
Even Buddhism talks about and ending cycle, where humanity achieves a certain level, then there is a catastrophe that sets us back a ways and we have to rebuild. Currntly, we are supposed to be entering the age of Aquarius where peace and harmony is supposed to begin and wars are supposed to end. It would probably take quite a bit of work!
What are your thoughts and beliefs? Since are current Gregorian calendar doesn’t have an actual end date, does this apply? Do you think end of the world myths are just like the hype behind the new millenium are nothing to worry about?

Many agricultural and hunting cultures throughout time have used the full moon as a measure of time as well as seasonal markers. Additionally, they were given names to remember them properly.

Know insurance companies have a new way of attaching costs or savings to your policy - what’s your astrological sign?
Apparantly, if you are among those who’s Sun sign falls under Libra or Aquarius, you are a bad driver! LOL
Insurance Hotline did a study recently, out of 100,000 insured motorists to see which of the twelve Zodiac signs are the best drivers (Leos and Geminis) and those with the worst records (Libras and Aquarians). Oh great…something else for the Leos to show off! Read the rest of this entry »
