I have many hats and many hobbies.

Yes I keep very busy.

Yes I stretch myself too thin sometimes.

Who cares? I am having fun doing as many things as I can in this lifetime. Isn't that what life is for?
This blog reflects on my lifestyle and philosophies, rants and raves, and hopefully a bit of humor.

I chose this background because it is so artistic, comfortable, and shows both sides of the day. Just like our everyday lives.

ELO

This is going to be a test…a test to see who remembers The Electric Light Orchestra! Oh…and to see if us old people are out there…yep…I am dating some of you!

I recently found a couple of CD’s of ELO to put on my iPod and it really brings back memories! They have been my favorite band for many, many years, even some of their new stuff (even without Jeff Lynne) and I never get tired of listening to them.

It’s amazing how music can really put you into a place in time. I remember places I was going, what I was feeling, or doing at various times when I listen to that music. To me, it’s a style that will never die. I have talked to a lot of people, even young people, who dig the ELO. That’s pretty cool. My one regret is I never got the chance to see them in concert.

The weird part is…I am burning songs onto a technological piece of equipment from the 21st century…that was once listened to on vinyl records. ACK!

Beam Me Up, Scotty!

In approximately one month, the ashes of the late James Doohan, the actor who played Scotty (Montegomery Scott) on Star Trek will be sent into space!

Houston-based commercial company Space Services Inc. said some of Doohan’s remains were packed into a rocket at Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Friday, ahead of the flight scheduled for April 28.

Space Services spokeswoman Susan Schonfeld said Doohan’s ashes will be sent up along with the remains of some 200 other people, including astronaut Gordon Cooper, who first went into space in 1963. Cooper died in 2004 at age 77.

What an awesome way to say farewell to our favorite, Scottish engineer! To me, this is the ultimate way to spread my ashes when I cross over. I have always had a fascination with space and sci-fi, and hopefully this will be a common practice that is affordable when my time is up!

Anyone else interested in having your ashes scattered into space?

With all the blogs, personal sites, and business cropping up all over, how in the world do you get information about what hosting sites to use, domains, information on the internet and HTML? You can gain insight from a lot of other blogs and tutorials, but there isn’t as much information on what hosting to use, which platform to be on, or who is best.

One of the ways is to use a web hosting reviews website, like Web Host Zoo! This site reviews the best hosting companies, a place to check and see if your domain name is available for registration, host reviews, news, and helpful information.

The newcomer to the internet technology world and web site design will be flooded with the wide variety of resources that are available. Most will have no clue what the difference is between Linux and Windows servers, or which is better, which offers the most versatility. Additionally, this site explains in more detail about hosting options, what they mean, and how they are advantagous to your business, blog, and website.

Web Host Zoo is a relatively new site, but is already listing a long list of information that is helpful and easy to find. It’s not just about what and where, but how it works! Check it!
